BLACK CRANE ORIGAMI JUMPER

I've been a fan of this line for some time now. I wear it often. When it came time to style our model Emma for a spring photo shoot, there were so many pieces in the Black Crane Spring '17 collection that spoke to me (and the photographer Kristen Hatgi Sink). It was all about the movement with this one. Isn't she lovely? Shown here in eggshell linen, it is also available in black, rust and some other tempting shades.

SHAINA MOTE HYSPERIA TOP

And this beauty... off-the-shoulder with a drawstring neckline + sleeves. She's gorgeous. Shaina Mote is a more recent addition to my wardrobe but I can see many more of her timeless designs making their way into my closet. I also love that Mote makes a point to use textiles that are natural materials from renewable fibers.

Side note: I didn't even know this white was called "Salt" when we photographed it with F+Y Pink Love Salts. It was meant to be.

SIMPLE FARE: SPRING/SUMMER A GUIDE TO EVERYDAY COOKING AND EATING

This book has incredible photography that will inspire even the least accomplished cooks (myself most definitely included). Key word is "Simple." I'll let this photo and quick recipe excerpt do the talking/writing:

I was recently inspired by @hannahmas to purchase a large (seriously big) plant (tree?) for my living room. It's an Alocasia Regal Shield. I spotted it on Hannah's Instagram (her whole feed is inspiring btw) and fell in love with the giant dark leaves. While shopping for some herbs at my local nursery a month or so later, I wandered into the indoor plant area and there they were— giant Alocasias calling my name. I didn't bring one home with me that day. I decided to suppress the impulse and give it some thought so I could also learn more about them. After texting some fellow plant-loving friends (Brandy included), I decided to go for it... They had six plants and I spent 20 minutes deciding which one was the one for me. It's a gorgeous plant and I'm so happy to care for it and have it in my space. I highly recommend adding a new plant(s) to your home + office to change the vibe of the room (not to mention, improve air quality).
